More Hiking

Greetings from Yellowstone. Today has been a beautiful crystal clear summer day (which is always subject to change). This morning some friends from work and I drove down to the Tetons and did some hiking. It was 10 mile loop that had some good views from atop the mountain and then went down between two lakes. We also stop in a nice little mountain meadow and had lunch. It was a little chilly so it was great hiking weather. They are calling for some snow tonight, depending on your elevation. Anyway, I managed to aggravate and old blister so I will probably just chill tomorrow. I have to get all my food and supplies ready for my first overnight trip in the backcountry. I am very excited and I know it will be cool. I have CPR/firstaid training Weds., then trail clearing Thurs, and I head to the backcountry for the following 6 days.

Ralph and Mary K-I appreciate the book in the care package but it was too short and I finished already(haha). It was a great book, John Grisham is the man.

The bear has been seen a lot the last few days so I think I will have an early supper then go out and look for him. I sat out last night for an hour but I didnt have any luck. Maybe it will be different tonight. The park has been pretty busy lately, and the construction near the south entrance has made the driving slower, but it has to be done though.

I will talk to yall later!
