I officially started my internship this morning at 8am. The good news is I survived. No bear attack, no wrecking of govt vehicles, and no significant screw ups. But I will have many more chances for all of that i'm sure. Spent the morning traveling around and meeting people and learning places and the like. Then after lunch I did some more orientation and got issued some gear, including bear spray (Stop worrying Mal). After that we did some other odd jobs and then the day was done. I believe my tentative schedule is 9 days on and then 4 or so off. But that is all subject to change. I should learn more as I become more familiar with everything. I have no cell service and limited internet but I will do my best to update yall. This is going to be such a great adventure! Gotta go find dad- Bill was suppose to meet me at 4:30, it is now 5:30. They said I will get to go out on SAR (Search and Rescue) but I didnt expect my first one to be for my Dad.
