First Night in the Backcountry

I just returned from my first night in the backcountry. We had to come back and take up another trip worth of supplies. The trip up yesterday was in the pouring rain and the water was pretty rough but we made it. We took up 4 canoes full, two ranger in one boat, two rangers in another boat towing a canoe, and me in a canoes paddling by myself (how's that work). Maybe they were testing me but I passed. As I was pulling my boat the final mile up the channel, I slipped and busted me knee pretty hard on some rocks, luckily I was already in ice cold water so I didnt have to worry about icing it. Anyway, so we get there and get everything unloaded and we were gonna head back and stay at home, but we notice a storm moving across the water. We were debating whether to haul ass or wait it out. By the time we decided to haul ass it was too late bc as we were trying to paddle out I kept getting bashed into the rocky beach and wave started coming over into the canoe. So we pulled ashore and ran back to the cabin were one of the rangers cooked pizza and hot chocolate for everyone and we stayed the night. It was a lot of fun. We are taking lunch right now, then loading up and headed out again for the next few days. I have some pics of the trip that I will post later. I just wanted to try and keep yall updated.

Bye
