I decided to branch out a little further today and I drove up to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. It took over an hour to get there, but the drive was beautiful, with lots of rivers, green meadows, wildlife, all with a backdrop of snow covered peaks. I have been spoiled the last fews days and haven't seen the tourists, but there was a decent crowd at the falls overlook. The paved paths weren't my thing, so I found a good little trail that went along the rim of the canyon, and I ran into
very few people, which was nice. The hike had some great views. I might have accidently gone a little further than the end of the trail to get a few better shots. Anyway, its back to work tomorrow, which I am very excited about because after all, that is what I came here to do. I have to go help do some horse chores, here is a pic of some of the "guys".
P.S. In response to Coach Wallaces post, its hard to be real tough when i'm 5 miles from the car, 15 miles from the ranger station, and Ihavent seen another person on the entire trail. But I thought I kept my composure pretty well. But I did start hiking a little faster after that.

Fantastic photos from you trip. Thanks, I am sure the pictures do not convey the magnitude of the water over the falls. Hope your work details turn out as good as the vacation days you had...Enjoy each moment...We appreciate the blog...RB
Keep the pictures going!
I just can't stay away from this blog...I love it! Can't wait to hear more stories about your wild trail-horse adventures... Keep up the good stories! Maybe the techno-savvy sister will teach me how to get a real name on this blog thing...
I'm enjoying living vicariously thru the pictures -RB and Mal
Hey there Ranger Jordan...The pics are looking pretty good my man. I am sure it has been hard for you being away from our adventurous office...You are getting a little tast of that snowy weather while we are enduring 95 degree sweatin weather..Not gonna lie, I think I would rather be in your shoes at the moment..Well I need to get back to doing nothing..Just wanted to stop by and say hello..Take care and slap a grizzly in the face for me.
Hey Jordan!! I love your blogs and am so impressed with your photography skills! Jay just told me about your website so I'll keep up with you now. I finally got to make a trip up to Columbia so I have plans to go see Mal and check up on her for you!! It looks like you are having a great time and your pictures are amazing; I love the first one on this page! Have fun and be safe!!
Cos,
I have a few updates on life. I think I'm going to the Cape at least for a little while this summer; not as cool as Jellystone but hopefully it will be decent. Don't forget when you are out on the trail, lets go 6 both ways and plenty jam logs. Bakich from Vandy wanted me to tell you hello, he said they have been working to fix their washing machine thanks to your advice.
Anyway, these updates are awesome, keep doing your thing and you will be an "All-American" up there in no time at all. Talk to you soon,
James Younger Brown III
Good pics - where did you snap the one w/ the bull elk? Be careful about those off trail adventures (key word there is "accidental"). But don't let Coach give you a hard time...it's easy to be brave 2K miles away behind a PC! -- Bill
