Working Man

Thanks for all the post. I would suggest sending those items listed by UPS or FedEx, but the pony express may work too.

I am on my lunch break right now so I thought I would update yall a little. Today started with horse chores and then we began loading up two trucks with trailers, including 4 kayaks, 2 canoes, and 2 small motor boats. We hauled them about 30 mins up to Lewis Lake, were we got to go out on the water and tow all the boats into the backcountry area. It was fun but the boat ride was a little chilly. We are on the last leg of preparation to start the season. I believe a few of the rangers will begin going into the backcountry within the next week. Tomorrow I go on my first trail clearing, and I think we are suppose to cover around 10-12 miles. I don't think we will make it that far because there are so many trees down on those trails. I have to go to the store tonight becasue I'm out of bread, but I will still try to post more this evening if I can.

Bye

Will your 1st excursion to the backcountry be a same-day or over-night deal? What equipment do y'all take -- axes/hand tools or chainsaws & other power tools? You may be getting more of a workout than you realize! -- Buffalo Bill

FYI - people looking to send supplies may want to check w/ shipper before sending...I believe FedEx & UPS require a street address, whereas USPS will send to PO Box.
